Hooking Up Your New Propane Stove With Dominick

- 9:56 am - October 25th, 2018

So, you decided to switch to using a propane-fueled stove and it’s time to hook it up! Luckily, the experienced technicians at Dominick are ready to help! Here are some tips to keep in mind during the propane system installation process.

Tip 1: Pick out your new propane appliance and confirm you have all the clearances in your kitchen needed to install the appliance. This information is located on the manufacturer installation instructions. Reputable propane companies will not hook up an appliance if the clearances are incorrect.

Tip 2: Call us to perform a site survey, where we’ll determine a safe location to install a propane tank on your property and give you a price to install the gas line.

Tip 3: Find out from the town if the chosen location is okay. Although we can take care of the legwork for you, you’ll save some money by doing this step yourself. Once you have approval, you can purchase your appliance.

Tip 4: Get the gas line quote in writing, and sign up for a gas agreement for the leasing of the propane tank. We’ll then pull the local permit to set the leased propane tank and gas line installation.

Tip 5: We will install the gas line and set the tank in its location, and pressurize the line. Afterwards, we will have the inspector come and check the pressure and the installation. Once we get the inspector’s approval, the hook up of your propane-fueled stove can be completed!

Congratulations – now you’re cooking with a reliable, clean-burning fuel that many homeowners rely on! If you have any further questions about your propane system, or installing a new one, don’t hesitate to contact us!
