Dominick Fuel Helps the Arbor Day Foundation Plant Trees!
Dominick Fuel is pleased to report that with the help of our donation to the
Arbor Day Foundation, we’ve helped plant 1,000 trees in Michigan. The trees, Jack Pine, were planted for the Kirtland’s Warbler, a federally endangered species of songbirds. The trees will also improve the habitat for a variety of wildlife and help rebuild areas that were affected by the Duck Lake Fire last year.
The Arbor Day Foundation's mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. To ensure trees are the inheritance of generations to come, we are proud to support this worthy organization dedicated to a greener world.
To find out what you can do to be green, we’ve listed some suggestions below:
- Switch to the ultra-clean, renewable and biodegradable Bioheat®. Bioheat reduces emissions, supports American agriculture and decreases foreign dependence.
- Let passive solar heating ease your heat load. Open shades and drapes on windows as they get direct sun, then close them to retain warmth when the sun's position has changed.
- Keep your furnace filter and vents clean. Dirty filters reduce airflow, making your furnace work harder and use more energy.
- Add caulking and weather-stripping around doors, attic access, windows, outdoor faucets and any areas where there might be leaks. Check caulking at least once a year and replace material that has dried out and shrunk.
